Swedish jihadist killed in Syria

A 21-year old man from Eskilstuna has died in Syria, according to relatives. He had traveled to the war zone last year and has previously been identified as a recruiter for violent Islamist organizations writes the Eskilstuna Courier.

The youngster is believed to have been killed in the fighting that took place in areas controlled by the Jaish Al-Fateh jihadist coalition, but the exact cause of death is unclear.

The man did not uncover which organization he fought in Syria, though he was most likely part of the Al-Qaeda affiliated Jund Al-Aqsa. The Swedish Foreign Ministry could not confirm his death.
