BELGRADE – The Serbian government adopted Friday the Defense Plan of the Republic of Serbia – the most important document on actions to be taken in emergency and war situations in the country.

The Serbian Defense Plan was presented to government officials by Defense Minister Nebojsa Rodic and Chief of the VS General Staff, Gen. Ljubisa Dikovic, at a thematic session of the Serbian government held in the Serbian Armed Forces (VS) General Staff building in Belgrade, the government’s media relations office said in a release. The Draft Serbian Defense Plan was presented to the highest-ranking officers of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff on December 24, and Rodic has ordered the document to be sent for approval to the Serbian government.

The Defense Plan of the Republic of Serbia lays down the tasks of all defense subjects in terms of organization of the forces, resources, measures and procedures for the work of state authorities and the use of the Serbian Armed Forces and other defense forces at wartime and during the state of emergency.
