GRACANICA - The police detained in Strpce Nenad Filipovic as the candidate of the Citizen Initiative Srpska list and two of the list's activists, Julijana Dobrosavljevic and Milan Rusimovic.

The reason why the three of them were brought to the Strpce police station are still unknown, the Srpska list's electoral headquarters in the municipality released, adding that this is not the first time that the members and supporters of the list are being detained. The release notes that Zoran Stojanovic of the Srpska list electoral committee was detained on Tuesday in the village of Pasjane, municipality of Gnjilane, where Serbs constitute the majority population, while five observers and members of the Srpska electoral committees from the municipality of Partes were brought to the local police station for questioning.

The Citizen Initiative Srpska noted that the detention of its activists is conducted on excuse that they are pressuring voters ahead of the second round of elections scheduled for December 1. Stating that there is no tangible argument or evidence to support this claim, the Srpska list called on international representatives in Kosovo-Metohija, primarily EULEX, to prevent abuse and intimidation of its members and supporters.
