SANTIAGO DE CHILE - Serbia's best tennis player Novak Djokovic beat his Spanish rival Rafael Nadal by 7-6, 6-4 in an exhibition match in Santiago de Chile late on Wednesday. The match was played as a tribute to Chile's 33-year-old Nicolas Massu who announced his retirement from professional tennis.

Massu has been a tennis pro for 16 years and the greatest success of his career was winning both singles and doubles gold medals in the Olympic Games in Athens 2004. After the singles match in Santiago de Chile, a doubles match was played as well, and all proceeds from the ticket sales will go to charity.

Djokovic travels to Buenos Aires on Thursday for a new exhibition match, where David Nalbandian of Argentina will also say goodbye to tennis. According to the organizer's plan, Djokovic will cross rackets with Rafael Nadal once again in singles on Sunday, November 24, at the "La Rural" stadium, and then pair up with Juan Monaco in a doubles match against Nadal and Nalbandian.
