Talks on Kosovo elections in Brussels

BRUSSELS - The talks on the implementation of the agreement to stage local elections in Kosovo-Metohija on November 3 continue in Brussels on Friday, and head of the Belgrade delegation Marko Djuric said that the aim is to ensure conditions for staging the elections.

In a statement for Tanjug, Djuric condemned the violent acts in Kosovo-Metohija which are aimed against the interests of everyone, and noted that terrorism cannot prevent the constitution of the community of Serb municipalities after the elections.

The talks will continue with a view to ensuring that all conditions are fulfilled for staging local elections in Kosovo-Metohija which should result in the constitution of the community of Serb municipalities after the elections, president's advisor Marko Djuric said. He expressed the expectation for Pristina to complete its remaining obligations from the agreement, adding that Belgrade believes November 3 is the day when citizens in Kosovo-Metohija would vote in the elections and back Serbia in the referendum.
