Parliament members continue visit to Kosovo

PEC - Members of the Serbian parliament visited the monastery Patriarchate of Pec on Friday, continuing their two-day visit to Kosovo. The parliament members were welcomed by the nuns of the monastery, led by mother superior Fevronija. 

 The goal of the visit is to learn about the problems faced by the people in Kosovo and try to help solve them, the Serbian officials said. The MPs also stated Serbia would not give up on Kosovo and would do everything to facilitate everyday life for the Kosovo Serbs. After the Patriarchate, the MPs will visit the monastery Visoki Decani and then Gracanica, where they will meet with local Serb officials and visit the Gracanica hospital. 

 The MPs were in northern Kosovo on Thursday, where they met with officials of the Pristina University temporarily relocated to Kosovska Mitrovica, Mining company Trepca and local governments. The Serbian parliament delegation includes Mirko Krlic, adviser of the head of the government office for Kosovo, which organized the visit. Photo Tanjug, N. Milosevic (archive)
