Dacic: Framework implementation agreement reached

  BRUSSELS - Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said Wednesday night in Brussels that a framework agreement has been reached on the implementation of the agreement Belgrade and Pristina initialed on April 19, and the Serbian government will give its opinion by the end of the week on the text which includes actions and deadlines.

"I can say we have worked out a draft on which both the Serbian government and the government in Pristina will give their opinions, and the text includes deadlines and actions that need to be completed in the coming months," Dacic told reporters after the two-day talks. 

 The Serbian prime minister said the competences of the community of Serb municipalities will be bestowed on an interim body, made up of representatives of the four Serb municipalities in north Kosovo, and the community will be formed after locals election which should take place by the end of the year. Dacic said the implementation agreement also covers judicial and security structures in the Serb municipalities. "Out goal is to make sure nobody loses their job," said Dacic. The prime minister said more rounds of dialogue will be held in the coming weeks and will focus on issues not covered by today's agreement. ---------------- 

Ashton: PMs agree on text, consultations to follow 
 High EU Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton stated on Wednesday that Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and his Kosovo counterpart Hasim Taci have agreed a fixed text and consultations will now follow, and they will be in touch with Ashton by the end of the week, the European External Action Service stated on their Twitter profile. Prime Ministers Dacic and Taci "continued their discussions and have agreed a fixed text which they are now consulting upon," Ashton said, as she is quoted in a tweet of her spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic.
 "Prime Minister Taci and Prime Minister Dacic will be in touch with me by the end of the week," Ashton said after her role as the mediator in the two ministers' talks in Brussels on Tuesday and Wednesday which ended late on Wednesday.
