Serbian Railways to cooperate with Microsoft

BELGRADE - Directors of Microsoft Serbia and Serbian Railways agreed to cooperate on improving the information and telecommunications technology related to the rail transport system.

  According to a release issued by Microsoft, in their meeting the two directors confirmed plans to cooperate on improving the quality of railway transportation in the country. Serbian Railways CEO Dragoljub Simonovic said the company will endeavor to modernize its information and telecommunications technology in an effort to optimize the performance of the major transportation system. Microsoft Serbia Country Manager Jugoslav Piric said he is certain there is room for cooperation between the two companies in the area of information and telecommunications technology. 

The two companies will work together to determine the priorities of the Serbian Railways and potential solutions for the implementation of information technology in its future development, reads the release.
