Fuele: Protocol on Serbia-BiH cooperation big step

BRUSSELS – EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele has welcomed the Protocol on cooperation and exchange of information in war crime cases signed by Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic and Bosnia-Herzegovina's (BiH) Deputy Chief Prosecutor Jadranka Lokmic-Misiraca in Brussels on Thursday.

Signature of BiH-Serbia Protocol on sharing war crimes info and evidences is a major step in strengthening regional cooperation, Fuele wrote on his Twitter account on Thursday. Serge Brammertz, chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, also welcomed the signing of the protocol on Thursday, pointing to the importance of strengthening local prosecutor's offices at the time when the Tribunal's nears the end of its mandate.
