Higl in 200m breaststroke semifinal

DEBRECEN – Serbia's Nadja Higl is through to the 200m breaststroke semifinals at the European Swimming Championship in Debrecen.

In the qualifying heat, Higl swam the second best time of two minutes and 28.59 seconds, behind Joline Hostman from Sweden with two minutes and 28.06 seconds.

The semifinal heats are schedules to start at 5 pm Thursday.

Serbian swimmers Radovan Siljevski and Boris Stojanovic were unsuccessful in the 100m freestyle.

Siljevski finished the qualifying race in 34th place with a time of 50.67 seconds, while Stojanovic was 46th with a time of 51.19 seconds.
