21 Serb victims identified in Zagreb

BELGRADE/ZAGREB - The Department of Forensic Medicine and Criminalistics of the University of Zagreb School of Medicine identified Thursday the remains of 21 persons of Serb nationality killed during the 1991-1993 war in Croatia.

The identification was carried out in the presence of family members, the Serbian government's Commission for Missing Persons stated.

All remains were identified via the DNA analysis, and funerals will be organized according to the families' wishes.

The remains were exhumed in Medari, Knin, Korenica, Petrinja, Vukovar, Zitnik, Kukunjevci and other locations in Croatia.

This is the continuation of identification of Serbs victims in the territory of Croatia, which is particularly important for the families of the missing persons that have been trying to find their relatives for years and give them decent funerals.
